The following changes have been introduced:

  • Anyone on temporary admission is now on (Home Office) bail

  • Sureties are now known as financial supporters

  • A new bail application form has been introduced with slight changes. BID is updating its bail notebook 'How to Get Out of Detention - The Self Help Guide for Detainees'. This will be available soon

  • Two new bail forms have been introduced:
    • For individuals wishing to change their bail conditions

    • For the Home Office wishing to apply to change an individual's bail conditions

  • When granting bail the Tribunal can pass the management of bail to the Home Office

We expect new bail guidance for bail judges to be issued by the President of the First-Tier Tribunal imminently.
