Join us on 19th June at 7pm at the Tokenhouse for our Refugee Week pub quiz to raise money for our legal advice services for immigration detainees.
Entry is £5 if you buy your ticket online, or £8 at the door. There will be prizes for both the winners and runners up, as well as a raffle on the night. Watch this space for prize announcements!
In the UK, Refugee Week is a nationwide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK, and encourages a better understanding between communities. This year's events take place between 17th - 23rd June.
All proceeds from the pub quiz will go towards our legal advice services for people detained in immigration removal centres and prisons in the UK.

What does BID do?
Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID) assists those held under immigration powers in removal centres and prisons to secure their release from detention through the provision of free legal advice, information and representation. Alongside our legal casework, we engage in research, policy advocacy and strategic litigation to secure change in detention policy and practice. In the last 12 months, BID provided support to 5,941 people.
How will the teams be organised?
Attendees will choose their own teams on arrival!
Can I pay to enter when I arrive at the venue?
Booking online is really helpful for us as it significantly reduces the amount administrative time our staff and volunteers spend preparing for the event. We would be grateful if you book your place in advance through Eventbrite. Tickets are £5 (plus Eventbrite booking fee) in advance and £8 at the door.
Do I need to bring cash for the raffle?
No, you don't - we can accept card and cash payments for the raffle!
Is it okay if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to someone else coming in your place.
About the venue:
After the sad closure of the Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker, we're delighted to find a new, friendly and wheelchair accessible venue for our pub quiz at the Tokenhouse. Hope to see you there!
