After four years leading the organisation, BID Director Annie Campbell's last day at BID will be the 24th of December. Marking her departure Suhan Rajkumar, BID's Chair of Trustees said:

“Annie has led BID brilliantly for four years, taking us through extended lockdowns - with the associated and significant impact this had on our work for people in detention - through a return to the office and in person volunteers, our response to the Rwanda plan, and a change in Government.

Under Annie's leadership, BID has grown and thrived, and she leaves behind a strong operation delivering powerful work for people impacted by detention, deportation, and the UK's immigration system. Annie leaves with our gratitude, and we wish her the best of luck for her future plans - we know that Annie will continue to be a friend of BID and our mission in the future wherever her journey takes her."

BID’s Board of Trustees and staff have been recruiting a new Director whose appointment is yet to be announced. In the meantime, Pierre Makhlouf, BID's Legal Director, will lead as Interim Director.

The whole team extends a massive thank you to Annie for her leadership and wishes her the best with her future endeavours.
