We're raising money for free legal advice to help people get out of immigration detention & appeal their deportation. Your donations will help reunite families, get vulnerable people out of detention & keep people who are British in all but paperwork in the UK.
Across the UK thousands of people each year are locked up in removal centres & prisons under immigration powers.
Hidden from the public eye, ‘migrants’, including many people who were born or raised in the UK or have lived here for decades, are torn away from their families & locked up indefinitely.
Isolated & terrified of deportation they face an exhausting battle against the Home Office to fight for their liberty & prove their right to remain in the UK - often with no legal advice at all.
BID provide free legal advice & representation to help people apply for bail & appeal their deportation. We do so through our advice line & casework projects while campaigning to abolish immigration detention entirely.
