When BID started working with our client A, he had been detained for 4 and a half years and had been poorly represented. Despite the extraordinary length of his detention, BID had to apply three times before he was finally granted bail. Once released, BID successfully referred him for both an unlawful detention claim and a fresh asylum claim.
