Bail for Immigration Detainees is excited to share a film, featuring the story of one of our clients, has been selected for the London Lift-Off Film Festival.

The film, ‘He Looked at My Tag and Wrote Me Off’, is a true story of the physical and psychological effects of being under 24/7 GPS surveillance, monitored by the Home Office.

The film documents the experience of one individual, who is one of many facing GPS tagging as part of the hostile immigration environment.

Since 2020 the Home Office has been expanding the use of invasive surveillance technology in the immigration system. Serco PLC is outsourced to deliver the policy and earns millions in profit from suffering.

This year alone there have been three rulings finding widespread unlawfulness in the scheme and it has been widely condemned including by the UN.

It is time to throw the whole scheme out.
